OTTAWA – Major legislative measures, led by Canada’s presentation of Bill C-39 (Building Canada Strong Act), aim to expedite environmental and operational studies for energy pipelines, port facilities, and oil recovery systems to a one-year government deadline. As global supply lines remain congested and energy corridor security becomes a major sovereign priority, countries are reducing administrative bottlenecks in order to accelerate trade corridor throughput. For circular economy and industrial waste service providers like Pentas Flora, accelerated maintenance and increased port activity result in a direct increase in marine slop generation, bilge water treatment, and hazardous liquid waste processing, increasing the operational demand for certified eSWIS handling, port reception facilities, and localised closed-loop oil re-refining to keep energy infrastructure compliant and operating at peak capacity.
