UNITED STATES – Global benchmark Brent crude fell below the USD 100 level, trading at USD 98.30-USD 98.75 per barrel. The price drop follows preliminary diplomatic indications about Iran’s probable proposal to restore critical shipping lanes through the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if initial de-escalation initiatives are taken. Coupled with Saudi Aramco restoring operational flows along its East-West Pipeline into Yanbu port, immediate supply disruption concerns have subsided. For Malaysian industrial and manufacturing operators, ongoing global market swings highlight the strategic value of switching to price-stabilized, locally re-refined energy solutions, such as Re-Refined Base Oil (RRBO), to protect operational margins from unpredictable foreign energy surcharges.
