KUALA LUMPUR – Industrial reports published on 10 September 2026 detail a strategic push by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) to integrate domestic automotive vendors into high-value global supply chains. Following RM218.5 billion in planned H1 2026 industry investments, authorities are implementing stringent vendor localisation targets, such as a 60% local content requirement for Mazda’s locally assembled models across precision machining, metal stamping, and chassis manufacturing centres. As component production expands, hazardous metalworking fluids, industrial oil sludges, and SW305 waste streams on factory floors increase, reinforcing the commercial demand for specialised closed-loop hazardous waste management and re-refined lubricants like Re-Refined Base Oil (RRBO) to ensure operational continuity and total ESG alignment.
