KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian plantation firms are anticipated to report better third-quarter profitability, boosted by higher crude palm oil (CPO) prices and increased output. Hong Leong Investment Bank Research anticipates quarter-on-quarter production growth of 6% to 35.6% among plantation businesses under its coverage, while maintaining average CPO price projections of RM4,450 per tonne in 2026 and RM4,500 in 2027. The good prognosis might boost plantation companies’ financial performance and operational spending, such as palm oil mill maintenance and machinery servicing. Increased planting and milling activity may further boost demand for industrial waste management, used lubricant collection, and environmental compliance services.
