Extreme Heat and El Niño Intensification Surge Operational Overhead Across Malaysian Livestock Sector

KUALA LUMPUR – Livestock and poultry producers in Malaysia are facing operational issues due to prolonged excessive heat and rising El Niño conditions. Heat stress in livestock is causing shorter broiler growth cycles, decreased egg output and increased mortality risks, forcing commercial farms to constantly run cooling fans, ventilation systems, water pumps and backup generators to regulate inside barn temperatures. This substantial reliance on automated climate control equipment dramatically raises power and fuel generator consumption in agricultural operations. For circular energy and waste management providers like Pentas Flora, this surge in off-grid power generation and heavy farm machinery use drives expanding demand for cost-effective thermal inputs like Re-refined base oil (RRBO) and certified scheduled waste collection (SW305/SW306) to help commercial agribusinesses control operating costs.
