KUALA LUMPUR – The growing demand for re-redefined base oils (RRBO) driven by increasing focus on sustainability, circular economy practices, and carbon reduction has continued to benefit the re-refining industry. As ESG requirements evolve to become a key business decision factor, the industry outlook remains positive, while companies involved in used oil collection, used lubricating oil (ULO) recovery, re-redefined base oil production, and waste management are positioned for long-term growth.
