NEW YORK – Schneider Electric presented peer-reviewed findings at Climate Week NYC 2026, demonstrating that incorporating artificial intelligence into industrial and building energy management systems can cut overall energy use by up to 22%. As power demands from data centres and large manufacturing facilities rise internationally, the energy industry’s focus shifts from high-level goal setting to fast, concrete implementation. Commercial operations may drastically reduce power usage, decrease water consumption, and implement supply-chain decarbonisation at scale by merging predictive AI software layers with optimised liquid-cooling designs. For energy-intensive industrial processing facilities, combining such efficiency innovations with alternative, price-stabilised circular thermal energy options such as Re-refined base oil (RRBO) offers a clear path to lowering operational costs while meeting Scope 1 and Scope 3 carbon reduction goals.
