Brent Settles at USD 87.84 as Hormuz Transit Talks Ease Supply Fears

UNITED STATES – Brent crude fell 0.84% to USD 87.84 per barrel, while WTI settled at USD 82.23. The selloff came after news that Iran and Oman were discussing a temporary navigational corridor and mine-clearing plan across the Strait of Hormuz, reducing immediate supply disruption threats along critical Middle Eastern shipping routes. However, deeper price losses were halted late in the session after the EIA reported that domestic oil inventories grew by only 95,000 barrels, substantially lower than market expectations.
