KUALA LUMPUR – Budget 2027 increased government-backed financial guarantees for small and medium companies (SMEs) from RM50 billion to RM57 billion. Bank Negara Malaysia will also offer an additional RM5 billion to assist SMEs affected by the West Asia crisis, while BPMB Group has set aside RM7 billion for vital sectors such as renewable energy, logistics, aerospace, and semiconductors. The policies seek to alleviate financial stresses, boost business expansion, and strengthen industrial growth, potentially opening up more chances for sustainable manufacturing, waste management, and resource recovery services.
