UNITED STATES – Global crude oil benchmarks rose in early trade, with Brent crude reaching $88.72 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) at roughly $82.35 per barrel. Prices continue to be maintained by continued supply disruptions and limited vessel travel thru the key Strait of Hormuz maritime corridor, which has been fueled by recent security events involving commercial tankers and stalled diplomatic negotiations.
