
KUALA LUMPUR – The implementation of a 3.67 sen per kWh Automatic Fuel Adjustment (AFA) surcharge in September, resulting in a roughly 12% average increase in monthly power bills compared to pre-conflict baseline levels is accelerating commercial interest in alternative power solutions and thermal efficiency. With higher grid tariffs directly inflating factory operational overhead, manufacturing and industrial facilities are actively turning to solar adoption, energy efficiency projects, and high-efficiency alternative fuels like Recycled Fuel Oil (RFO) to contain utility expenditure.
