Indian southern state Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister M.K. Stalin recently launched the Tamil Nadu Circular Economy Investment Policy, 2026, and the Tamil Nadu Warehousing Policy, 2026 to drive economic growth. These policies actively promote sustainable practices while strengthening investment, logistics, and resource efficiency across the state.

The Circular Economy Policy incentivises the setup of recycling facilities and the adoption of advanced technologies. It offers a special incentive package that includes capital subsidies, employment incentives, and skilling support for eligible units. Companies meeting defined criteria and operating after July 1, 2024, can access subsidies and employment reimbursements to boost investment in sustainable recycling initiatives.

In parallel, the Warehousing Policy focuses on stimulating activity among warehouse operators, developers, and market participants in Tamil Nadu. It presents benefits for both new (greenfield) and existing (brownfield) developments. The policy promotes green initiatives by offering subsidies of up to Rs two crore, along with additional incentives for projects in select districts.

Together, these policies strengthen Tamil Nadu’s infrastructure, advance sustainability, and generate employment opportunities. They position the state as a leader in adopting eco-friendly economic practices.
