PLDT Inc. has been included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026 for the second consecutive year, marking its position among the world’s top-performing companies in corporate sustainability, reported Manila Standar.

The Philippines’ largest integrated telecommunications firm earned a score of 77 in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), a 5-point increase from its previous rating. This score placed the company within the top 15 percent of the global telecommunications industry and within 30 percent of the top-performing industry peer.

The CSA serves as an annual benchmark evaluating how 9,200 firms across 59 industries manage economic and environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. PLDT is among 848 companies listed in the 2026 Yearbook and was the highest-scoring Philippine company in the 2025 assessment.

“PLDT’s recognition as among the world’s best companies in sustainability affirms our belief that business success must be grounded in integrity and responsible conduct. This distinction supports our continuing commitment to operate under a balanced scorecard of financial returns and sustainable business practices, ensuring creation of long-term growth and positive impact on society and environment,” PLDT chairman and chief executive Manuel Pangilinan said.
