KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia’s automotive Total Industry Volume (TIV) increased by 5% year on year to 73,615 units in July 2026, owing mostly to high demand for national passenger vehicles and pickup trucks. Monthly car production reached a 30-month high of 75,490 units, indicating faster plant assembly runs across domestic automotive supply chains to meet continued consumer demand. While passenger vehicle output increased to 71,713 units, commercial vehicle sales fell 16%, indicating a split market that continues to maintain strong manufacturing momentum into the second half of the year.
